Basma is a young artist from Bethlehem who learned the art of ceramics at the Salesian Training Center, and once completed her studies she began teaching. When afterward the Salesian Center closed, Basma didn’t give up and launched her own business. Basma’s ceramic decorations are mainly floral and related to the Nativity. Although Basma was forced to shut down her workshop during the pandemic, thanks to the Dar Al Majus Bazaar she managed to reopen. Basma works with her sister and her deaf-mute embroiderer friend, a wonderful story of friendship and solidarity.
